set base
Top 4 tips for using a pressure cooler...
Always fix the base to the console, in vertical or horizontal position. Place your console on a flat surface when attaching the base.
You must reconfigure the base for your console position. Rotate the top and bottom of the base in opposite directions. Keep turning until you hear a "click".
For the upright position
with base attached
Make sure the hook is in the position shown below before attaching the base to the console.
- Place the console back side up, then remove the cover from the screw hole.
- Attach the screw hole cover to the bottom of the base.
- Remove the screw from the bottom of the base.
Basic button - Fix the base and then fix it with a screw. Use a coin or similar object to tighten the screw.
For horizontal position

Make sure the hook is in the position shown below before attaching the base to the console.
- Place the console back side up. Align the base with the marked area on the console and press the base firmly.
Connect the HDMI cable and power cord
Use the supplied cables. Make all connections before connecting the power cord to an electrical outlet.
Connect the LAN cable
For a wired connection to the Internet, use a LAN cable (not supplied).
If you are going to use Wi-Fi®, do not connect a LAN cable and go to the next step.
Turn on your TV and set the input to HDMI
Turn on your PlayStation 5 console by pressing the (power) button
The power indicator blinks blue and then turns white.
View frontal
Leaving the console idle for 60 seconds after turning it on activates the text-to-speech feature. You can hear on-screen text and other important information read aloud to help you get what you want to do.
Connect your wireless controller to your console with a USB cable, then press the (PS) button
To pair your controller, connect it to your console's USB port with a USB cable. when you press the button(PS), the controller turns on.

You're almost done! Follow the on-screen instructions to;
- Set up your console;
Select your language, configure your Internet connection settings and manage your energy saving settings. To save power while powered off, your console is set to Low power in sleep mode. See also "Put your console to sleep". - Create your account
Create a new account or sign in with an existing account, such as one you created on a PlayStation®4 console. See also 'For PS4 users'. - Download your content
Download purchased PS5™ games and media apps. If you have a PS4™ system, you can transfer the data to your PS5 system.

- The configuration options you see are tailored to your needs, based on information such as your network environment and the account you are logged into.
- You can go back and change all your settings
by selecting Settings on the home screen.
For PS4 users
Play some PS4 games on your PS5 console
Play compatible PS4 games* on your PS5 console. * Some features available on the PS4 console may not be available when playing on the PS5 console. You must update to the latest version of the system software. Internet connection required.
Transfer data from a PS4 console to your PS5 console
Connect your PS4 console and PS5 console to the same network to transfer data such as saved game data, user information, and downloaded content. If you have a USB drive that you've been using as extended storage for your PS4 console, you can continue using it by simply plugging it into your PS5 console.
Use the same account you created on a PS4 console
There is no need to create a new account for your PS5 console. Just log in with your existing account and your game history, trophies, profile and any transactions you've had with friends will be transferred to your PS5 console.
parental supervision
You can manage child settings using your PS5 console. With parental controls, you can set limits on what games kids can play, when and how long they play, who they communicate with, and more.
Every adult () and child (
) need their own separate accounts. When you create an account for a child, they are automatically linked to your account, creating a family. You can only set parental controls for the children in your family.
You can use an existing account, such as one you created on a PS4 console, for your PS5 console. Your family and parental controls settings will be transferred to your PS5 console.
Create an account for a child
You can create a child account and set up parental controls at the same time.
press the(PS) to open the control center. Select your avatar and then select Switch user. Select on the user selection screenAdd userto create an account.
Check and change parental control settings
We recommend that you regularly check the child's parental controls. You can view or update them by selecting Settings> Family and parental controls from the home screen.
Game rating icons
Each game comes with a game rating icon that helps you determine if the age is right for your child.

Home screen
From the home screen, you can access two types of content: games or media. The main games page is where you'll find your games, PlayStation™Store and other game-related applications. The main media page is where you'll find music, video, and other non-gaming apps.

Play a game from a disc

Play a digital game
You can play a game you downloaded from PlayStation Store.
You will receive a notification when the game is downloaded and ready to play. Select the game from your games home page.

use your controller
charge your controller
With your PS5 console turned on or in rest mode, use a USB cable to connect your controller to the console. When your console is in sleep mode, the light bar on your controller slowly flashes orange. After charging is complete, the light bar turns off.
Go to Settings to charge your controller while your console is in rest mode> System > Power saving > Features available in sleep mode > Supply power to USB ports and select an option other than Off.
mute your microphone
Each time you press the mute button, your microphone toggles between muted (button on) and unmuted (button off). Press and hold the mute button to mute your microphone and mute the sound output from the speakers on your controller and TV. Press the mute button again to return to the original state.
Use multiple controllers
You can use up to 4 controllers at the same time. press the(PS) to assign numbers to your controllers. The indicators on the player light up accordingly. The numbers are assigned in order of 1, and you can determine the number of your controller by the number of lights that light up.
- You need to pair your controller the first time you use it.
- When you play a PS4 game, the light bar on your controller glows blue, red, green, or pink, depending on the order in which the controller is connected. This is independent of the player indicator.
Turn on your PS5 console with a controller
press the(PS) on a controller that has finished pairing to turn on your PS5 console.

Caution
Only disconnect the power cord from the power supply when the power indicator is off. If you unplug the power cord while the power indicator is lit or flashing, data may be lost or corrupted, and you may damage the console.
Put your console to sleep
Your PS5 console's power saving mode is called rest mode. It can do things like charge your controller from the console's USB ports, automatically update your system software, and keep your game or application suspended while it's off. Refer to the User's Guide (page 13) to see which sleep mode settings work best for you.
Some features require you to enable your settings in order to use them. go to Settings> System > Energy saving > Features available in sleep mode.

Turn off your console completely
Select Power in control center and then select Power off PS5. The power indicator flashes white and then the console turns off.
